Green fodder harvest XXL - professional technology was in demand

The vehicle fleet of Günter Schütze’s contracting company based in Lower Saxony currently comprises 12 tractors, 4 agricultural trucks, 2 self-propelled manure harvesters, 4 combine harvesters and 4 forage harvesters. In the meantime, the business is also supported by the two Silo Fox KOLOSS silage spreaders in the green fodder harvest. The decisive factor for the purchase was high efficiency – the huge harvest volumes that the contractor and his team bring in have to be processed quickly and evenly in the silo. The reportage duo “landtechnikvideos.de” accompanied the silage and field work of the Schütze contracting company for one day in their documentary: The footage is more than impressive.

Often, too little attention is paid to silage recovery on the farm - people are preoccupied with harvesting time, cutting lengths in the field and neglect distribution and compaction in the mobile silo. For us as a contractor, it is important to distribute the green fodder quickly and easily in order to prepare it optimally for the rolling process. With the two Xerions in combination with the KOLOSS silage spreaders from MAMMUT, we are now ideally equipped for this work - large quantities of forage can be processed in the shortest time and in the best quality.
