XXL extraction for XXL output

In the district of Dachau, Georg Großmann-Neuhäusler runs an impressive organic farm on an impressive 600 hectares. In addition to high-quality vegetable cultivation, he also operates a modern biogas plant with an electrical output of 800 kW. In his daily work, Georg relies on reliable and powerful technology to ensure the quality of his products and to run the farm efficiently. Using the MAMMUT shear grab, Georg can cut an incredible 3 tonnes from the silage stock in one cut. The cutting technology generates less pressure and has a gentle effect on the wheel loader. This enables high removal quantities to be achieved for high-performance operation.

Before using the shear grab, we removed the feed with a grab shovel. However, this method did not ensure precise removal from the silage stock. The tines of the new MAMMUT shear grab penetrate deep into the forage, while the cutting edge produces a particularly clean cut. As the time factor is particularly important to us, we opted for a large model. With a width of 2.90 m and a volume of 3.5 m³, we can remove up to 3 tonnes per cut from the silage stock. It should be emphasised that the MAMMUT shear grab requires less cutting pressure and is therefore gentler on the wheel loader. For me, the precise cutting pattern and the avoidance of reheating are also decisive factors.
