The Silo Twist HURRICANE silage distributor is the ideal machine for the optimal distribution of silage across the width that has been evenly unloaded along the length. With a net weight of 870 kg, the device is already suitable for tractors from 80 HP and above. The HURRICANE is perfectly suited for use with uniform quantities of feed up to an unloading height of up to 80 cm.

Frequently requested accessories: Reverse gear for front and rear use

The Silo Twist HURRICANE silage distributor is not only designed for rear mounting, it can also be operated on the front PTO. A reverse and reduction gear is available as an accessory for this purpose. The reverse gear makes front mounting to the tractor possible, and also reduces the rotating speed. The speed of the rotors is ideally adapted to the rear PTO (usually 540 rpm) or the front PTO (1,000 rpm). For you, this means an even distribution process with a rotational speed that is optimally adapted to the PTO shaft speed – in every situation.

Front and rear use: The top PTO stub is intended for the rear PTO, and the bottom one for use on the front PTO of the tractor.

Hydraulic pivoting device for better distribution performance

The hydraulic pivoting device also increases the effectiveness in the trench silo. Thanks to the pivot point located close to the three-point linkage, convenient swivelling away from the silo wall is possible with the rotary silage distributors from MAMMUT. The swivelling device of these devices is equipped with two cylinders. A locking block also prevents undesirable swivelling in of the rotary distributor, and increases your operational safety when driving on the road, for example.

Ideal if there are no silo walls: Swath limitation

Thanks to the lateral swath limitation an almost vertical silo build-up is possible, even if there are no side walls. In addition, the optional swath curtains in bunker silos with walls prevent the feed from being thrown out and help to provide a reliable compaction process when the silo is being built up.

Hydraulically folding swath limiters

The swath limiters of the Silo Twist HURRICANE model can be folded hydraulically. The telescoping of the swath limiters takes place manually with this model, and hydraulic solutions are available for the bigger due to the heavier weight of the swath curtains.

Electrical control system – without display

An optional electrical control system is available for the Silo Twist HURRICANE silage distributor for convenient and central control of the hydraulically adjustable accessories. The individual functions (pivoting device, swath limiters, etc.) are easily selected using a toggle switch.

Hydraulically switchable side gears

In some situations it may be necessary to change the direction of the two rotors. This particularly occurs if the feed is to be transported on one side in a targeted manner. For this purpose, we optionally provide hydraulically switchable side gears for the two rotors.

Including an electrical control system

An electrical control unit is already included with the hydraulically switchable side gear so that the individual functions (side gears, swath limiters, pivoting device) can be controlled as conveniently as possible.

Single-sided wide-angle PTO shaft

With all MAMMUT silage distributors, a normal PTO shaft is sufficient in the majority of cases. A single-sided wide-angle PTO shaft may be required, particularly with tractors with high mounting points or when the distributor is lifted sharply with the PTO shaft switched on. You can simply order these for the Silo Twist HURRICANE as accessories.

For maximum safety: Road lighting system

In order to be safe on the road, there is an optional road lighting system for the Silo Twist HURRICANE silage distributor. This equipment is particularly useful for inter-company use of the silage spreader. The driver of the vehicle is always responsible for complying with the relevant road traffic regulations.
