Greater volume means more variety
Based on our observations and close discussions with farmers, we have expanded our unloading technology. New models of the shear grab and shear bucket will offer even better adaptation to a wide range of carrier vehicles in future. The expansion concerns the models of the SC 170 N, SC 240 M and SC 270 XL shear grabs as well as our shear buckets for the SB 170 N, SB 240 M and SB 270 XL models.
Advantages at a glance
With a total of 16 different models, we offer a wide selection for a wide range of requirements and company sizes. The new types of Silo Cat and Silo Bucket are also characterised by their stable construction and low cutting resistance. This enables us to ensure high stability and reliability in daily use over many years. In addition, however, there are unique advantages to discover for each new model:
SILO CAT / SILO BUCKET
170 N
The compact design is ideal for front loaders, yard loaders and smaller wheel loaders.
SILO CAT / SILO BUCKET
240 M
The 240 M size was specially designed for telescopic handlers with a lower lifting capacity and, thanks to its width of 240 cm, silage can be removed right up to the silo wall.
SILO CAT / SILO BUCKET
270 XL
This genuine XXL unloading device offers an impressive volume of 3.62 m³ and an opening height of 130 cm. This model is perfect for large farms with high feed volumes and for heavy wheel loaders.

Correct removal is crucial!
The main focus is on optimising conservation right from the harvesting stage. However, this hard-earned feed quality can be jeopardised by inadequate removal technology. This can lead to undesirable fermentation pockets or mould growth in the silage stock and make it unfit for consumption by your livestock. MAMMUT shear grabs and shear buckets are not only reliable in daily use, but are also characterised by their particularly gentle technology. A precise cut in the travelling silo has an extremely positive effect on the quality of the forage, ensuring that you get the best forage all year round.
One thing is clear: whether shear grabs or shear buckets – both removal techniques have a durable design and prevent unwanted reheating in the silage stock. Depending on the work processes, feed components and many other factors, shear grabs or shear buckets are used. Here you can get an overview of the advantages that can be decisive for your feeding process.
Shear grab SILO CAT
The shear grab is primarily used for long-fibre fodder, such as
z. e.g. grass silage. The smooth cut, which is achieved by cutting out the silage at the silage stick, prevents reheating and subsequently mould and yeast, even at high temperatures. The silage tongs can also provide a remedy for storage. The classic shear grab is therefore the right tool for anyone who attaches great importance to clean feed and high silage quality.

Shear bucket SILO Bucket
The shear bucket is perfect for fine-grained feed, such as maize silage.
Thanks to the completely closed base, the load remains reliably in the bucket even with a fine structure. This unloading device is therefore also ideal for feeding the feed mixer with mineral feed, meal, spent grains or other feed components. Thanks to the way the device works, the yard and silage clamp remain clean and tidy. The shear bucket therefore makes your everyday work considerably easier.
