Compaction performance XL
With the new SILO KOMPAKT XL silage roller, we are expanding our range of silo compaction equipment with a particularly powerful model for large mobile silos and the most demanding requirements. The XL roller was specifically developed for professional use, where large quantities of feed have to be compacted within a very short time. The result is dense, air-free silo layers that form the basis for high-quality and nutrient-rich silage. This marks another milestone in the development of efficient silage technology for high-performance farms.

Robust construction
The XL silage roller was designed with the clear aim of achieving a new dimension in compaction performance. With a working width of 3.0 metres, it processes large silage areas in the shortest possible time and ensures uniform depth across the entire working width. The solid construction and larger drum diameter result in a particularly high load, which means that even deeper layers are reliably compacted. This reduces air pockets and minimises the risk of faulty fermentation – a decisive advantage for feed quality and silage storage stability.
The heavyweight among rollers
With a total weight of up to 4.7 tonnes, the SILO KOMPAKT XL is one of the heaviest silage rollers available. The drum, frame and mounting bracket can be filled with water, allowing the total weight to be flexibly adapted to the respective operating conditions. The wide roller body with perfectly positioned discs creates high point loads and an intensive deep effect, ensuring fast and efficient compaction. The high dead weight of the XL silage roller makes it the ideal tool for professional farms with high harvest volumes and the requirement to maintain feed quality at the highest level at all times.
Ideal equipment for comfortable compaction
The XL silage roller is equipped with a hydraulic side shift of ± 500 millimetres as standard. The tractor tyres always maintain a safe distance from the silage wall, enabling precise compaction even in narrow passages. Especially at the edges of the silage, where air pockets can easily form, the roller ensures continuous and uniform compaction. In addition, the roller can be individually weighted via the water filling, allowing the weight to be precisely adjusted to the tractor and operating conditions. The stable three-point attachment allows flexible use on tractors of different strengths. All details are designed to provide the driver with a comfortable, safe and efficient workflow – even during long working hours under high time pressure.
Combination with SILO FOX KOLOSS silage spreader
In combination with the SILO FOX KOLOSS silage spreader, this creates a professional-class silage team that combines spreading and compaction performance at the highest level. With a working width of up to 3.7 metres and a maximum weight of 2.5 tonnes, the Koloss spreads large quantities of feed quickly, evenly and without material accumulation over the entire silage area. Immediately afterwards, the SILO KOMPAKT XL silage roller with a working width of 3.0 metres and a total weight of up to 4.7 tonnes ensures intensive compaction and an even depth effect in all layers. This perfectly coordinated combination significantly increases the efficiency of silage making, reduces air pockets, minimises feed losses and lays the foundation for high-quality, nutrient-rich and long-lasting silage – even with particularly large harvest volumes and high time pressure.
The result is a well-designed system of distribution and compaction that significantly increases the efficiency of harvesting work while also improving the quality of the silage in the long term.
