Sandbag filling machine for effective bagging
A fast reaction and the right technical aids often make the decisive difference in flood protection. MAMMUT offers the widest range of solutions and models from 240 litres to 2,000 litres payload for filling sandbags quickly and without complications. Equipped with the patented bagging system, the TURBO PACKER sandbag filling machines ensure easy use in an emergency.
Your benefits at a glance:
Patented bagging unit
If you wish to fill sand bags quickly and easily, you’re sure to be impressed with the filling nozzles used by the TURBO PACKER: The sand is mixed by an agitator and flows through a single mechanical opening and the galvanised nozzle, and reliably into the sandbag. The bagging opening is actuated simply by pulling the nozzle with the sandbag put over it onto the body. If you let the component go, the sand flow stops automatically. This enables quick and efficient operation in practical use for flood protection or stock filling, thanks to which up to 3,800 bags per hour can be filled depending on the machine size.
Quick and ergonomic
Filling sandbags can be a strenuous task, especially if the same step is taken over and over again for several hours. However, the TURBO PACKER sandbag filling machine’s bagging unit enables the bags to be filled ergonomically. Thanks to the machine’s height-adjustable substructure and pedestals for the sandbags, the assistant can stand upright and therefore prepare a large quantity of sandbags for flood protection in a short time.
Insensitive agitator for all types of sand
It is not just the bagging itself but also the preparation of the raw material that contributes to a smooth filling procedure: As the weather conditions during flood protection are often very harsh, the sand to be processed is not always in the best condition. Therefore, wet, very coarse or even froze sand has to be processed very quickly in an emergency. The mixer cross on the TURBO PACKER sandbag filling machines is driven by a robust, high-quality angular gear and promises the best mixing results even under extreme conditions. The tines are made of a special grade of spring steel and are equipped with scraper strips made of Hardox steel. The high quality material guarantees low wear and high resistance to all types of sand.
Guaranteed quality
The gear is known to be the heart of the filling mixer. In order to ensure trouble-free operation and a long service life, MAMMUT uses high quality technology combined with reliable empirical values over many years. The angular gear is either driven by a tractor PTO shaft or a worm gear via electric motor and ensures an even mixing process – the drive has a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Individual consultation
Customer satisfaction is extremely important to MAMMUT: We’ll take the time for your enquiry and advise you on the individual equipment or the selected type of sandbag filling machine for your fire service, community, city or the technical relief agency in your locality. The TURBO PACKER range of flood technology is produced in Austria and promises the highest quality and reliable technology from a second-generation family business.
Flood technology field of expertise
The MAMMUT sandbag filling machines and concrete mixers have been produced in Gurten in Upper Austria for decades. More than 20,000 machines in this product range have already been delivered around the world. Fire services, municipalities, local government departments and technical relief agencies across Europe trust the TURBO PACKER filling mixer and make a significant contribution to flood protection by using it.
A vast array of drive types
The TURBO PACKER sandbag filling machines are always ready for operation, quick and easy to use and can be operated without a power connection via the tractor PTO shaft. These benefits make the device an indispensable aid both directly on-site in an emergency and during stock filling in quieter times. The devices are equipped with a PTO drive as standard. Inspired by the design of a forced concrete mixer, the filling mixer is also rear-mounted on the tractor using a three-point attachment and driven by the shaft supplied as standard. This is of particular benefit in an emergency and when used in locations without a power supply, as the sandbag filling machine can be used flexibly at any time. However, an electric motor is also available as an optional accessory, along with a galvanised trolley so that the sandbags can also be filled if no suitable tractor is available. This means maximum flexibility and minimum time wasted for you and your team.
The right technology for all needs
The MAMMUT filling mixers are available with a payload of between 240 litres and 2,000 litres, and in four different sizes for a maximum range of applications in practice. The number of filling nozzles installed is based on the model size, starting with three (type TP 95 E 3S) up to five filling openings (type TP 150 5S). When positioning the nozzles, special attention was paid to sufficient working space for the filling staff so that effective teamwork is possible.
Lighting, feed hopper, etc.
Because we specialise in flood technology, MAMMUT offers a wide range of accessories. The optional electric motor, for example, contains a galvanised trolley and a switch box with emergency stop function in addition to the worm gear and motor, in order to ensure convenient and easy operation during the filling process. The filling hopper is a popular accessory: This enables the sandbag filling machine to be filled even using wheel loader scoops in order to organise sandbag filling effectively and in a user-friendly manner. As environmental catastrophes such as floods do not normally occur during business hours, optional lighting with floodlights that make bagging easier even in poor lighting are also sensible.
Type overview
The smallest model in the TURBO PACKER range of sandbag filling machines is equipped with a drum diameter of 95 cm and is extremely flexible to use and easy to transport thanks to its compact design. This filling mixer is driven by a 4.5 kW electric motor as standard. With its three filling nozzles and a payload of 240 litres of sand, up to 1,500 bags can be filled per hour. All-in-all, the TP 95 E 3S is an all-purpose entry-level model for filling the required sandbags better and faster.
The TURBO PACKER TP 150 5S sandbag filling machine already has a larger drum diameter: with a diameter of 150 cm, a payload of 800 litres and a filling performance of up to 3,000 bags per hour, the device makes efficient bagging a possibility. As this model also has more space for the operating staff thanks to its size, 5 openings are provided here. A wide range of accessories expands the area of application and flexibility of this MAMMUT sandbag filling machine even further.

The type TP 175 5S in the MAMMUT sandbag filler range is an extraordinary aid to flood protection work and gives the highest performance: Thanks to a filling volume of 1,000, the drum diameter of 1,750 mm and the 5 filling openings, you can achieve an impressive bagging performance of up to 3,800 bags per hour. This machine is also popular due to the large amount of space for the filling staff: this ensures a convenient and pleasant working environment.

The professional model in the TURBO PACKER range is also completely independent of a power supply: the TP 2000 4S is driven by a Honda petrol engine and has its own hydraulic tank. With a capacity of 2,000 litres of sand and 4 opening nozzles, you can manage up to 2,000 bags per hour. However, the major benefit of this device is that the bagging process does not have to be interrupted by the feed from the wheel loader scoop thanks to the design. This also provides a high degree of operational safety, as the bagging team is on one side and the loader for feeding the filling mixer is on the opposite side. The sand is conveyed to the filling nozzles reliably via a delivery screw in the hopper.
